have 4 dogs, yes I do. Why wouldn’t I? They show me love every day.
Pepper is my 10 year old wolf Shepard mix mobility dog. She has helped me walk and maintain my balance for the last 9 years.
People think she is a barker/growler. Nope. She didn’t even growl until she was 6 months old. Then it was only because I was asleep in bed with bronchitis, and my x and dad were outside my bedroom window pruning rose bushes. She was not having it. It was so low, it vibrated the bed and barely audible. Her first bark came another year later. She’s terrified of bunnies ( I had several as pets). I have seen her jump away from crickets. Yes an actual cricket bug. But if you bring a baby into the house, she will refuse to go to work and stay with the baby.
Tatlo is my white red nose pit who we got at 3.5 weeks old ( not by choice he was taken from mom too soon). He taught himself to alert to my migraines and my seizures ( lifelong epileptic) He roos at people to say hi. If he really likes you he will grab you by the arm and ask you to come in.
Paminta is my blue Merle blue nose pit(Tatlos daughter) she is our resident goofball. She thinks she is a bunny and a cat as well. She didn’t bark at the mirror puppy until she was 6 months old. In the middle of a live lecture. Now she does it in the middle of the night in the pitch black.
Why? Because she will play with my cats Lazer beam and hop like a bunny doing it.
And last but not least, our youngest, Fighter. Pamintas little brother, who lived up to his name. As he was the last born and we almost lost him. Fighter? Is our runner. Even though he gets lots of exercise, he thinks he needs more. Right now, though he has a severe medical issue causing him pain when he gets up or walks.
His 2 legged siblings (4 live with us) spoil him rotten.
Everyday these 4 dogs, show us love with the actions towards us.
By guarding(not one has been trained to do it), comforting, playing, or just being beside us as a companion.
How can you not say I love you to these dogs?
