i believe in teaching my children the value of trust. For a start as a responsible parent, all access to inappropriate sites should be parentally controlled . It is a condition of mine that i can inspect their phone at any time as they should have nothing to hide. Thats the deal. We all live in an age where some kids will not be supervised whilst using their phones and whom send inappropriate messages in which case i would report the child to their school or parents and block their number. I have to protect my children from unwanted messages. Usually my children will let me know if they receive unwanted messages and i praise them for being so open and honest with me. Every parent and child are unique. There is no one size that fits all. You have to work it out yourself. Its not easy. There has to be a balance of trust and responsibility between parent and child. If you never trust your child and they grow believing that not being trusted is normal, how can they ever grow to trust others.
